Protests against Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das’s arrest and the atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh continued on Wednesday in Tripura, where an angry mob recently vandalised the premises of the neighbouring country’s Assistant High Commission.

Police said seven persons have been arrested so far for their alleged involvement in the incident and probe has already been started to understand how it all happened.

The Bangladesh's Assistant High Commission in Agartala, which is located in the North-Eastern state of Tripura, has decided to suspend consular service until further notice after its premises was breached by a group of people who were protesting against the arrest of Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das in the neighbouring nation.
