A growing brush fire prompted officials to issue evacuation warnings Thursday evening to parts of Fontana, a suburb straddling San Bernardino and Riverside counties. A brush fire on a hillside between Jurupa Valley and Fontana forced evacuation warnings Thursday night. It remains 0% contained after jumping to 250 acres.

The Canyon Crest Fire was first reported at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Canyon Crest Drive and Weeping Willow Lane, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. The fire was burning south of Highway 60 near Canyon Crest Drive in Riverside County.
