BEIRUT — The Israeli military on Thursday said its warplanes fired on southern Lebanon after detecting Hezbollah activity at a rocket storage facility, the first Israeli airstrike a day after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took hold.

Both Israel and Hezbollah on Thursday accused each other of violating a ceasefire deal agreed on the day before to end more than a year of fighting. Israel said it opened fire on ”suspects″ with vehicles arriving at areas in the southern zone of Lebanon,

It is too early to say whether Israel's ceasefire deal with Hezbollah in Lebanon has "significantly and sustainably" reduced the risk that led Moody's to downgrade Israel's sovereign credit rating, the agency said on Thursday.
