Thousands of people flocked to Presque Isle Thursday morning to take part in what’s become a Thanksgiving tradition for many — the Turkey Trot. It’s put on by the Erie Runners Club every year and features options for both 5K and 10K participants.

A record number of runners took to the street of downtown Grand Rapids Thursday for the 32nd annual Grand Rapids Public Schools Turkey Trot. There were 6,435 racers this time around, up from 5,834 a year ago for the holiday 5K run and walk.
