President-elect Donald Trump’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, said he would jail Denver Mayor Mike Johnston if he stands in the way of the administration’s mass deportation plans. The former Immigration and Customs Enforcement director told Fox News’s Sean Hannity that Johnston’s public defiance of Trump’s proposed immigration policies would be violating federal law.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has voiced resistance to Trump’s campaign promise to conduct mass deportations and last week said he would even go to jail to stand up for the cause. Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar nominee, said both he and Johnston think he should be behind bars if he doesn’t abide by what could be a federal policy.

Trump’s incoming "border czar" is going on a warpath after liberal leaders began issuing warnings in recent days that they plan to defy mass deportation orders.

"Me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing: he's willing to go to jail," Tom Homan said of Democratic Mayor Mike Johnston

"But, look, me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing. He’s willing to go to jail, I’m willing to put him in jail."

Tom Homan, selected by President-elect Donald Trump to be the "border czar" in the new administration, traveled Tuesday to the U.S.-Mexico border with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, blasting the Biden White House's reaction to the immigration crisis and vowing Trump's planned mass deportations will be conducted.
