Time Magazine on Thursday named US president-elect Donald Trump its “person of the year,” marking the second time he has won the accolade, in acknowledgement of the mogul’s stunning political comeback.

President-elect Donald Trump has been named the 2024 Time Person of the Year. He had been part of a short list that also included Kamala Harris and Elon Musk.

The president-elect rang in the day’s trading at the New York Stock Exchange on the same day he received the magazine’s annual honor for a second time.

The president-elect talked about his political rebirth as he was recognized with the prestigious magazine cover honor for the second time.

Mr. Trump also received the title in 2016, after his first presidential election victory. He has had a tempestuous relationship with the publication.
