Mick Schumacher will leave his role of Mercedes Formula One reserve driver at the end of the season to pursue opportunities elsewhere, the team said on Thursday. The 25-year-old son of seven-times world champion Michael has been reserve for the past two years since losing his seat at Haas.

The 25-year-old German, son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, was dropped by Haas at the end of the 2022 season but in the two years since has been an understudy for George Russell and Lewis Hamilton at the Silver Arrows.
