The Dallas Mavericks received important injury updates ahead of their Wednesday night game against the New York Knicks.

Dereck Lively II was ruled out during the second half against the Hawks with an illness, the Mavericks announced. Lively had started Monday’s game, but didn’t return after the halftime break. Daniel Gafford started in his spot going into the second half.

For the game, the Mavs could be without one of their best players, as Klay Thompson is on the injury report. He also missed the team's last game, so this would be his second straight out of action (if he doesn't play).
