Daniel Cormier has weighed in on the sexual assault case involving Conor McGregor, warning that his career may suffer lasting "effects."

Companies including Irish whiskey brand Proper No. 12 and video game developer IO Interactive are cutting ties with Conor McGregor after he was found liable in a sexual assault case.

The face of the UFC and Irish MMA for years, McGregor been met with much backlash following his appearance last Friday in Dublin's High Court, where the civil court jury found McGregor liable for the sexual assault of a woman named Nikita Hand.

Conor McGregor has been dealt several blows lately since an eight-person jury found him liable in his civil sexual assault case.

The developments with his whiskey company come a week after the verdict that Conor McGregor was found liable in his sexual assault case in Dublin, Ireland, was revealed. McGregor was found liable for sexually assaulting hair stylist Nikita Hand. He now has to pay €248,000 in damages.
