The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of significant rainfall in Kerala due to cyclone Fengal. Heavy rain is expected in northern and central parts of the state on Tuesday. Red alerts are issued for five northern districts.

According to the latest update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Fengal has weakened into a deep depression. It is likely to move westwards very slowly and weaken gradually into a depression over north Tamil Nadu during the next few hours.

Bengaluru: The city is experiencing a change in its weather, offering chilly temperatures to the residents due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert as this weather pattern is set to persist for the week across numerous parts of the state.

The system is expected to intensify as it moves towards the Arabian Sea, passing over northern Kerala and Karnataka by December 3, the IMD said

Bengaluru is set for six days of downpours, with light to moderate rainfall expected in surrounding districts. Cyclone Fengal has caused heavy rainfall in Puducherry and is expected to weaken while moving westward.
