Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shown flexibility by agreeing to accept the 'hybrid model' for hosting the upcoming Champions Trophy, provided the International Cricket Council (ICC) adopts the same approach for global events scheduled in India until 2031,

A top Pakistan Cricket Board official is ready to talk to India to ease concerns about playing in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The PCB has been rigid in its opposition to the hybrid model and had advised the ICC to look at other options to stage the Champions Trophy

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be hosted across three venues in Pakistan over February and March next year. But India, who have not toured Pakistan since 2008, told the ICC their government had not given them permission to travel to Pakistan for the event earlier this month.

A good sense has prevailed in the Pakistan government which has given go ahead to its cricket board to accept India's proposal about a Hybrid Model (playing at a neutral venue like UAE) which will act as a big Saviour to the game of cricket in this country thereby saving the right to host the Champion Trophy.

Pakistan initially did not accept the demands put in place by BCCI, it has been reported that the PCB has agreed to the hybrid model, with India's matches set to be held in Dubai.
