The tight-knit community of Piedmont is in mourning after three young people died in a fiery solo-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, one day before a city tradition that took place on Thanksgiving morning - the Piedmont Turkey Trot.

"The community really loved them. They brought a lot of energy and a lot of spirit to the community and I feel like it's only fitting that people show their respect." The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in Piedmont was rerouted so people could pay their respects to the three young adults who were killed in a crash.

The community of Piedmont came together Thursday morning for its annual Turkey Trot event which was in essence a memorial for three young adults killed in a horrific crash of a Tesla Cybertruck on Wednesday.
