As Erie experienced record-breaking snowfall this weekend, finding themselves getting nearly three feet of snow in some areas, Pittsburgh International Airport provided its snow-fighters to help with the impact of the storm.

Flights at the Erie International Airport were canceled as snow began to pound Erie over the weekend. The severity of the snow prompted another Pennsylvania airport to lend a helping hand. Five people from the Pittsburgh International Airport’s “Snow Fighter” team came to Erie on Saturday morning to help keep the airport runway and taxiway

As record snowfall is still being cleared from the roads in Erie, crews at its airport have also been working overtime to keep the runways open. As KDKA-TV's Ross Guidotti reports, they got some help from an award-winning crew from the Pittsburgh International Airport.
