Quarterback Aidan Chiles, a Southern California native, didn’t look comfortable playing in the snow and was off target on multiple throws while finishing 13-for-23 for 150 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore closed the season with a third straight turnover-free performance but still finished with 15 total on 11 interceptions and four lost fumbles.

The Spartans' bowl game hopes ended with a lopsided loss to Rutgers that showed many of the same issues that plagued MSU all season.

If this was the final time fans see senior running back Kyle Monangai in a Rutgers uniform, the senior gave one last memorable performance. Monangai moved past Terrell Willis for second place on the school’s all-time rushing list. He racked up 101 of his 129 yards in the first half to help Rutgers rattle off 34 unanswered points.
