Meta tapped long-time Trump backer Dana White to join its board of directors at at time when Republicans will soon control congress and the White House.

Meta on Monday announced that Dana White, the Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO and an ally of Donald Trump's, will join the tech company's board.

Dana White has been appointed to the board of directors of Meta, alongside auto tycoon John Elkann and tech investor Charlie Songhurst, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post late Monday. The social media company owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
