Gerry Hutch missed out on a place in the Dail after a dramatic race in Dublin Central in the 2024 General Election.

Labour’s Marie Sherlock has won the final seat in Dublin Central with Gerry "The Monk" Hutch losing out. The Independent candidate was a surprise late addition to the Dublin Central constituency in the General Election campaign. The Monk was in a nail-biter battle with Ms Sherlock for the final seat as counting continued at the RDS on Sunday.
