As the holiday travel season kicks off gas prices continue to slowly decline, and could hit a national average of three dollars per gallon before the new year.

(CBS DETROIT) — AAA reported Monday that gas prices in Michigan have jumped 7 cents since after the Thanksgiving weekend. Michigan drivers are paying an average of $3.08 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is 11 cents less than this time last month and 4 cents cheaper than this time a year ago, according to AAA.
