India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav will be back in action for Mumbai's next Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) game, against Andhra on December 3 after taking a two-week break to attend a family function.

Suryakumar Yadav has informed Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) that he is available for the remaining Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches.

BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) secretary Jay Shah has praised India's senior players for participating in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024-25. Notably, several players such as Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer are participating in India's premier domestic T20 tournament sharing their experience and learnings with the youngsters.

India's T20 captains Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dube will join Mumbai's Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy squad for the final two league matches, bolstering their chances for knockouts. Dube returns from a back injury while Suryakumar missed early matches due to personal reasons.

The India captain will need to slot in at No 5 if Mumbai are to retain their top-4 of Prithvi Shaw, Angkrish Raghuvansi, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane.
