Micron Technology and the federal government are days away from signing a historic deal that would lock in a package of incentives for Micron to build a $100 billion complex of computer chip plants in Syracuse’s northern suburbs.

In a statement, Schumer said, “Micron is on the finish line for the CHIPS deal and I expect the final agreement to be signed as soon as this week. This will lock in the funding for Central New York and Idaho.
