A vegetation fire on a hillside between Jurupa Valley and Fontana forced evacuation warnings Thursday night. The blaze, named the Canyon Crest Fire, started at roughly 5:30 p.m. as a second-alarm response.

The Canyon Crest Fire was first reported at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Canyon Crest Drive and Weeping Willow Lane, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. The fire was burning south of Highway 60 near Canyon Crest Drive in Riverside County.
