The burning question in college football is not, "Is Sam Pittman on the hot seat?" No, the Arkansas head football coach entered the season safe and he's still safe. Last summer there was chatter from media outlets saying he wouldn't last the season, but those outlets are out-of-state and out-of-touch with Arkansas athletics.

There have also been downs, though. Arkansas lost in back-to-back weeks to No. 19 Ole Miss and No. 3 Texas, which showed that head coach Sam Pittman's squad isn't yet ready to take on the big dogs of college football.
