A Merseyside hospice is to be presented with a sapling from the Sycamore Gap tree that was cut down. St Joseph's Hospice in Sefton successfully applied to be given one of 49 Trees of Hope saplings grown from seed from the iconic tree by the National Trust.

Its destruction triggered outcry and sadness across the nation – but now, over a year on from the felling of the Sycamore Gap, the National Trust has revealed where the tree’s saplings will spring up across the UK.

Ryde Academy students are in the process of designing and creating a memorial garden to honor Chris Koppany and other students who have tragically passed. The ‘Tree of Hope’ will enhance the beauty and tranquility of the garden, providing a lasting symbol of hope, remembrance, and growth.

Saplings from the felled Sycamore Gap tree are being given to charities, groups and individuals as "trees of hope". A charity set up to remember murdered schoolgirl Holly Newton in Hexham, Northumberland, and The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease in Leeds are among 49 recipients across the UK.

Saplings from the felled Sycamore Gap tree are to be sent to 49 different organisations around the UK, including hospitals and a Ministry of Defence LGBTQ group.

A charity that cares for a city's parks said it was proud it would receive a sapling of the felled Sycamore Gap tree. The Parks Trust in Milton Keynes has been one of 49 recipients of a " tree of hope ". The saplings come from the landmark tree that had stood near Hadrian's Wall before it was unexpectedly cut down last year.

A lifesaving Inverclyde charity which helps people build roots in recovery has been gifted part of one of world's most iconic trees as a symbol of hope.

Saplings from a famous tree that was unlawfully cut down will be gifted to people, groups and organisations across the UK to spread a positive message as part of a campaign called 'Trees of Hope'. The Sycamore Gap tree grew in the middle of a gap in Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland and was arguably the most famous tree in the UK.
