The Veilguard, I stand before a plaque decorating the stand of what turns out to be one very special item. In the heart of Weisshaupt Fortress, the metal cup with its recognizable griffin insignia emblazoned on the front immediately caught my attention,

The Veilguard players believe the Lords of Fortune are the most underwhelming faction. The Lords aren't really involved with the main quest, and their quests aren't thematically appropriate. Taash also isn't as closely intertwined with their faction as other companions.

The Butcher of Treviso is present mostly in name for a good deal of Veilguard 's story, even during some important Treviso specific quests. It would have been very easy to make a grim, stoic Qunari warlord, the likes of which have been seen many times over in the game.

I won’t say it’s worth 10 years of anticipation, but “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” is still a solid and content-rich experience overall.

BioWare could keep trying to make an anthology, but maybe it’s time to let one hero steer the ship after The Veilguard
